Scott Ringlein is the founder and President of The Energy Alliance Group of North America (EAGNA). Scott has more than 30 years of extensive experience in business development and project management. Known for being detail driven and a creative networker, Ringlein has had incredible success throughout his corporate and entrepreneurial career.
Beginning his professional career in 1986, he was a member of the Oldsmobile Aerotech high-speed vehicle program team. This team designed and built the engine that powered the Aerotech vehicle driven by the nationally acclaimed NASCAR driver A. J. Foyt to a closed course land speed record of 258 miles-per-hour.
Following this success, Ringlein held a series of senior and executive management positions at Ford Motor Company and several Fortune 500 Tier I automotive suppliers before venturing into the entrepreneurial world in 2008. During this period, Scott managed business development and global product launches for customers in Asia, Europe and North & South America.
In 2011, after completing a two-year an assignment with the Department of Energy and the Obama administration as a Technical Advisor for the American Recovery Act 48C Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit program, he launched several small companies including The Energy Alliance Group of North America.
With locations in Michigan, Ohio, and South Dakota, EAGNA is a project developer for efficiency, conservation, and renewable energy solutions throughout the U.S. and is a leading authority on the administration of the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program. Taking a “holistic” approach, EAGNA develops solutions through its PACE+4™ program utilizing its “Four Cores” of Technologies, Financing, Incentives and Services – all critical elements in EAG’s mission to transform the way companies look at efficiency, conservations, and renewable energy projects to improve their facilities and reduce costs, and achieve an immediate return on investment from doing so.
Both Scott and his company were born and raised in Michigan. He has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. degree in Manufacturing Engineering, and will be pursuing an Executive MBA in Energy. He has a contagious passion for “Doing Good, While Doing Well”, knowledge he gained early on from one of his mentors during his time spent at the SPARK Incubator located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 2016, Scott created and was later awarded a trademark, for the solar program Kilowatts for a Cause® which will raise money for charities, scholarships, or just giving back to the community.
Formally a Small Business Administration SCORE counselor and Michigan Economic Development Corporation Shifting Gears program mentor, he continues to assist entrepreneurs with getting their businesses off the ground and growing through education and mentorship. He also continues his work as a Technical Advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy, leading technical reviews of applications for the Technology Commercialization, and Technology Innovation funding programs.
Since the introduction of the PACE program and its adoption across the U.S., Scott has been a leading advocate for the program and is very active in the efficiency improvement and renewable energy communities, presenting the PACE program at numerous conferences and webinars, and participating in panel discussions and TV interviews.
In his spare time, Scott volunteers at non-profit organizations and spends time with his wife, children, and furry family Payton, Jeter and Java.
